My name is Janiek Kistemaker and I live in
Amsterdam (Netherlands), where I studied Greek, Latin and Italian at
the city's University. Through studying textual sources from antiquity,
but also by preparing original recipes in my own kitchen, I am doing
research on Roman culinary history. The knowledge and experience I have
gained in doing this, I would like to share with others interested in
